Melbourne – Melody of bourn

Melbourne, A city every Indian should visit. So now the question arises why every Indian should visit the city, what’s so special in the city to visit. When it comes to Melbourne as of now every Indian has only one thing in mind and that is watching Indian cricket team playing in world cup 2015 final in MCG or Melbourne Cricket Ground. Beyond the current affair Melbourne has many beautiful things to check out. Let us see what we can explore in the city that possible might interest you check out the city.

Yarra Valley, Royal Botanic gardens, Sea life Aquarium, Dandenong Ranges and the list goes on. Let us assume that our primary interest being visiting there to see the cricket match, if so what else to see for the rest of the time? Here is my answer to your question. Melbourne the city of Victoria is a place where one can explore various things. AIB’s famous Tanmay and Rohan have already explored and given us an overview to do the same.

First of all we need to see the whole city in the roads. City circle tram comes to your rescue. There are lots of trams available to move around the city and City Circle Tram provides you for free. As we Indians can save a few bucks by traveling in these trams. Within a span of 45 minutes it nearly covers all around the city. You will see all the landmarks on travelling through the city circle tram. Watch AIB’s very own Tanmay and Rahul in the Video.

Once you have seen the city on the road now it is time to see the city from a higher point because as Clint Eastwood says, “Things always look different from higher up”. You need to go to the Eureka Skydeck, there in a lift within a time span of 40 seconds you can reach the 88th floor where you can see the entire city. To add more excitement you will be placed on the THE EDGE. The EDGE is the highest vantage point in the southern hemisphere. At highest point you can enjoy the view of the entire city.

Okay now you have from a higher point it is time to fly isn’t it? The famous 12 Apostle rocks are situated at the sea and a chopper can take you there to see them. It is a fantabulous view of seeing those apostle rocks that gives you a feeling of bliss. This will be your most memorable moment where you are really seeing the rocks that stand with a majestic look rather looking at the majestically looking rocks in your desktop wallpapers.

Now after seeing this you might think, I have seen the city and also I have flew to see more what else? This is the time Melbourne gives you the pleasure to fly above the sky in Hot Air balloons. Hot Air Balloons are really and it can be used to enjoy the bliss of silence above the visible sphere and feel the clouds which are always moving away. This time you can move along with the moving clouds. Earlier you go, it’s great for you to encounter the formation of an air balloon. This will be your lifetime experience and at the silence of sky you can hear the music of the clouds.

Apart from these you enjoy the peninsula hot springs which acts as a great rejuvenation for you after a long tired day of enjoyment. Once you are rejuvenated then it is time for you to bring the child in you to visit the Panny’s chocolate factory. This is the Willy wonka’s chocolate factory you can visit in your life. After all that as an Indian we don’t get satisfies unless we buy something from the place. In order to do so there is Queen Victoria market that satisfies all your shopping, it is the biggest shopping place over the south hemisphere. Here you can get the yummy Kangaroos, it might be a sin visiting Australia and not at least taste their signature kangaroo. once you visited this place then you will find that this is the most livable city in the world. The city has the tendency to make you fall in love and you will understand it when you visit there.

To know more you can check out at the Tourism Victoria Website link. This is a post written for the Indiblogger contest, now my dear readers you have a chance to win a gift voucher too. All you have to do is answer, “Which of these places would you want to visit in Melbourne and why? The contest closes on January 4, 2015.

  1. Great post! After reading your post & watching all the videos, I’d most like to visit the Dandenong Ranges for it’s scenic beauty, breathtaking view and cool breeze blowing through my hair. 😛 I’d give anything away for driving through the winding roads which are present throughout the ranges. I’d love to stay at one of the bed and breakfast cottages and go on frequent excursions in the forests with my camera which provides excellent views. And not to forget the famous ride in the Puffing Billy, a day reserved especially for that. To add to that, there are also several picnic spots for me and my friends to spend a fun-filled day and the ranges are a perfect spot for hiking and cycling.

  3. Amazing Article.
If I get a chance to visit Melbourne then
I would like to spend my time in the Great Otway National Park, because I love watching animals. I would love to take a city tour by travelling on the Tram’s of Melbourne. By travelling in tram’s I want to explore every nook & corner of Melbourne. Besides this I would love to watch the amazing architectures of Melbourne like Eureka Tower, Royal Exhibition Building, etc. And without enjoying festivals, my journey would be incomplete so I will celebrate Australian Festivals.
And how can I forget The MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground). As cricket is my favourite sport I would love to watch the Cricket world cup final which will take place at the largest stadium of Australia, that is, MCG.
